Every Holiday Season from the end of  November through December, Historic Spanish Point is magically transformed into a winter wonderland where special memories are created and traditions are celebrated as you reminisce through 5000 years of  historical events.

This intriguing, 30 acre natural and historical museum site along Little Sarasota Bay can be enjoyed day and evening as you walk along the nature trails and beautifully maintained gardens with festive music filling the air, brightly colored twinkling lights, seasonally decorated historical buildings and not to be missed the canopy lights through the mangroves. Several festive activities are scheduled throughout the month including pictures with Santa, weekend costume performers, holly holiday party and more.

To share a bit of history, in 1867, John Webb and his family established this elevated piece of land, made it their  homestead along Little Sarasota Bay and  named it “Spanish Point”.  In 1910, Mrs. Bertha Palmer, a Chicago Socialite and widower came to Sarasota to establish her winter estate and in turn purchased several aces of this land for cattle ranching, citrus and real estate development from the Webb Family AND the rest of this fascinating story is up to you to find out by visiting the grounds first hand experiencing and engaging yourself into both Sarasota’s past and present history.

The museum and grounds are open 7 days a week but be sure to visit their website at for more information on scheduled events, times and admission prices.

Spanish Point is located at 337 N. Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 941-966-5214
