My group recently had the opportunity to attend the Selby Gardens ‘Sunsets at Selby’ event at Selby Gardens in Sarasota. I’ve been there many times over the 25 or so years that I’ve lived here but I was blown away by the renovations they’ve completed in the last six months: where before there was a giant courtyard surrounding their 100-year-old banyan tree (which is a marvel in itself) they’ve now constructed a boardwalk/treehouse with lots of kids activities, views of Sarasota Bay and Selby Gardens, and lots of information about the flora that exists within the gardens.
My family and I attended the event as a part of the Suncoast Regional Young Professionals Network from the Sarasota Association of Realtors. I’m currently the chair of the YPN (Florida’s only regional YPN endorsed by Florida Realtors® and the National Association of Realtors®) and it was a BLAST to go out and have a peaceful evening on the bay. I can’t wait for the next one!
